Sir Robert de Boynton (? purchased lands in Easton from Richard de Eston, uncle and heir to John de Eston), received a grant of lands there in 1319, 12 Edward 2, and was witness 14 October, 1339, with the Earl Marshal of England, Peter Mawley, lord of the Luke (? Soc.), lord chamberlain to Edward 3, and Sir William Acton to a deed proving the right of Hamon Beckwith, Esq., to the coat armour of John, Lord Malebisse.
