Henry Boynton married Elizabeth
Sir Henry de Boynton, Knt. (son and heir, Visit. 1564), succeeded his grandfather in 1402, (?) seised of lands in Boynton in fee tail, as also of lands in Newton-Subtuse-Dunesburgh, and Snaynton, to him and Margaret, his wife, and the heirs begotten of their bodies. He was suspected of being in the interest of Henry Percy, Earl of Northumberland, and his son, who had taken arms against Henry 4 in 1403, when the battle of Shrewsbury was fought, John Wokerington, Gerald Heron, and John Mitford were commissioned to tender an oath to this Henry Boynton and others to be true to the king and renounce Henry, Earl of Northumberland and his adherents, yet three years after he was concerned with the said earl, Thomas Mowbray, earl marshal, Richard Scrope, archbishop of York and others, who had taken arms 6 Henry 4, and flying to Berwick, was apprehended, and on the surrender thereof to the king, with seven others, executed 20 July, 1405, 6 Henry 4, being then a knight.
Elizabeth, daughter of Sir John Conyers, of Sockburne, in the bishoprick of Durham, married, 2ndly to John Felton.
