Sir Thomas Boynton, Knt. (son and heir, Visit. 1564), lieutenant and constable of Carlisle, under Henry Percye, son of the Earl of Northumberland, in 1383, 7 Richard 2; died before his father in 1386, seised j. m. of the manors of Acklam and Aresome, and j. u. of Roxby (Rousby), Newton and Stainton, and of the ancient demesnes, 16 oxgangs of land in Boynton, as appears from the Exchequer book, 39 Edward 3, 1365 (?).
Margaret, daughter of Sir John Speeton, of Sawkell, as appears by inquisition, living in 1402, died in October, 1409.
