Thomas Boynton married Catherine
Sir Thomas Boynton, of Acklam, Knt., 1377, 51 Edward 3, and styled Thomas fil. Walter (son and heir, Visit. 1356). He jointly with Thomas de Ingleby, had a grant from King Edward 3, in the 39th year of his reign, 1366, for free warren in Acklam in Cleveland, Aresome, Rousby, Newton, Snaynton, and Boynton, co. York, and in 1392, 13 Richard 2, confirmed a gift of the fishery in river Teyse, at Catterick, by William de Aclam. In his will, dated 28 July, 1402, proved 6 September following, he desires to be buried in the choir of the church at Acklam.
Catherine, daughter and co-heiress of Sir Geoffrey Rossels, of Newton-under-Dunesburgh, Cleveland.
