Matthew Boynton married Ann Bulmer
Matthew Boynton, Esq., son and heir, steward of the lordships belonging to St. Mary's Abbey, in York; he married in his minority, and died at York, 31 July, 1541, aged circa 40. He had a grant for life from King Henry 8, in the 29th year of his reign, dated at Westminster, 5 May, 1539, of the high stewardship of all lands in the counties of York and Lincoln, forfeited by the attainder of William Wood, prior of Bridlington. Will dated 29 Septermber, 1540, when he styles himself of Barmston, desiring to be interred there if he dies in Yorkshire, according to his degree, and leaves 20s. to the high altar in that church, inq. taken at Malton, 16 September, 1541.
